Komposisi Kitab Ulangan: Produk Kompromistis Redaktur Yehuda

Abstract


Struktur dan komposisi kitab suci dibuat secara sembarangan atau tidak sengaja. Ada banyak alasan, dan tujuan yang tersirat dari penulis dan editor di dalamnya. Makalah ini memaparkan format dan proses penyusunan kitab Ulangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, jenis telaah sistematis. Sedangkan hermeneutika yang digunakan adalah metode kritik historis, khususnya kritik literal. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa bentuk akhir dari Ulangan adalah produk kompromi pasca-pembuangan oleh editor dari Selatan (Yehuda). Upaya kompromi ini memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu sebagai panggilan dari TUHAN kepada Israel untuk mengingat status "umat pilihan", dan sebagai bentuk pengakuan iman bangsa Israel untuk setia kepada Tuhan, bukan kepada allah lain.
